Wired and Wireless Home NetworkWe can set up a network in your home for as many computers and devices as you need. This can include PCs, Laptops, PDAs and gaming consoles like X-Box and Playstation 2.

Wired Networks: While this is not as popular these days because of the comparable cost of Wireless, this option is necessary if speed on the network is a priority. This would be true for network gaming, and transferring large files over the network.

Wireless Networks: Share your broadband internet connection among all of the computers, gaming systems and other wireless capable devices. All without wires! This has become very affordable recently. Great for laptops and PDA's. Will also interface with the next generation of TIVO.

Many home networks have a mixture of wired and wireless. Home networks have a router Wireless Router, which splits the signal of your cable/DSL modem to the other computers and acts as a firewall. Wireless routers also send out the wireless signal and most can be wired as well. The most cost effective way to set this up is to place the router and cable/DSL modem next to one of the computers so it can be wired. Computers in the other rooms as well as laptops can connect wirelessly. More and more laptops are being equipt with wireless standard. All laptops and home PCs can add a wireless card.
